Welcome to the weekend, everyone! It also happens to be St. Patrick’s Day weekend in Gettysburg! Here are a few things going on that you may want to check out:
2012 Tour De Tanks Continues:
This event designed for wine enthusiasts runs every weekend in March and features winemakers opening their doors to give visitors an exclusive opportunity to sample wines straight from the barrel. Learn from winemakers about the characteristics of each wine, and enjoy special food pairings as you chat with fellow wine enthusiasts all along the way. Click here for more information.
St. Patty’s Day in downtown Gettysburg, March 17th:
Read my previous post about places to check out for St. Patty’s Day in downtown Gettysburg! McClellan’s Tavern, located at The Gettysburg Hotel, will be celebrating St. Patty’s Day with $3.00 Guinness drafts all day. Food specials for the Irish festivities will include Reubens and Corned Beef & Cabbage.
Hauser After Hours St. Patrick’s Day Celebration:
For even more St. Patrick’s Day fun visit Hauser Estate Winery on March 17th from 6:00-9:00pm. Irish Band, Across the Pond, will provide a festive atmosphere.
A note about Hauser After Hours Events: Admission to Hauser After Hours is always free. Live music featuring acoustic artists through full bands provide rousing entertainment. Pay per plate dinners (most caterers accept cash only) are served from some of the finest caterers in Pennsylvania and Maryland. Wine and Cider is available by the glass or bottle. Bíodh deireadh seachtaine iontach – that’s “Have a great weekend” in Irish!
